CMS vs. Static HTML for SEO

One of the first decisions any website creator needs to address is how to manage content. There are two general categories; static html, which is written in an editor like Dreamweaver (or even Notepad), and content management systems (CMS). Both methods have implications for design, maintenance and SEO, and have different advantages.

Static HTML

Static HTML is often the best choice for simple website requirements, an online presence really only serves to provide basic information about your business and you don't intend to change it frequently. Most casual users need to be careful though, since they are likely to use simple WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editing programs like Microsoft Frontpage. Many of these programs write very inefficent HTML. This makes them a poor choice from an SEO perspective.

If you are going to use static HTML, make sure to use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CSS stores all of your formatting information (colours, font, etc) in a separate file. This makes pages easier to edit and more importantly, leaves only the most basic information, your content, on the html file itself. This makes the job of the search engine much easier, since your key terms are in greater evidence.

CMS

In contrast, content canagement systems (CMS) use templates and databases to automate a great deal of the web design process. This type of software is ideal when you have website with constantly chaning content, like a store or a blog. The different CMS application vary greatly in terms of complexity and learning curve. This blog runs on Wordpress, which is very easy to use and to implement. My corporate site, runs on Drupal, which is a bit more complicated. Most of the best CMS packages available are free, which is another advantage.

From an SEO perspective, CMS has the drawback of making access to meta tags more difficult and creating long urls. This is usually easy to overcome by choosing the appropriate add-on modules to uses for your implementation.

For example, on my blog I use the All-In-One SEO Pack to help manage wordpress.

Summary

The general trend in webdesign is toward CMS, but users with simple website needs should definitely consider using static HTML and CSS. If your needs are more sophisticated, CMS is definitely the way to go - although it is important to make sure that your site is SEO optimized. Most CMS implementations have large user forums where most questions can be addressed.

Why Women Love Jewelry

You could be the subject of ridicule if you go out and ask – Why women love jewelry? It is almost as if you were to ask – Why do human beings need food? Over the years, jewelry has gone on to play a significant part in a woman’s dressing regime. While some years back, jewelry was considered as a mere additive to the entire context of dressing, nowadays, it is considered to be an integrated component of style and fashion for a woman.

A survey done by a leading lifestyle magazine reported that out of 100 women, 95 of them would spend a lot of their time shopping for jewelry and then move on to other accessories. Need we say more on why jewelry often finds itself high in the list of a woman’s shopping list!

Some years back gold necklaces, gold pendants and gold earrings were predominant. All of that has already seen a big change. Gold was quickly replaced by diamonds, which fervently got the nickname of being a woman’s best friend. A lot of that is still changing. With the introduction of inspirational charms and sterling silver charms by a lot of jewelry stores, people are increasingly looking forward to these options.

And while, jewelry was considered an expensive commodity some years back, with these inspirational charms and budget options, the buyer of today have options where they get to spend less on buying their necklace or pendants. Not much has changed in terms of expectations of a woman when they go out buying a piece of jewelry. If anything, they have become more demanding in terms of their needs of style and fashion.

Keeping this in mind, new age jewelry are increasingly becoming a blend of fashion and comfort. A lot of the heavy metal and the glaze are now being replaced by sterling silver charms, which are superbly comfortable for the eyes, and on the body of the beholder too. Imagine you wearing a necklace around your neck that has the letters “L O V E” inscribed inside a small pendant attached to the necklace. Go a step ahead and get the name of your beau on this necklace, and if nothing, you are promised all life loyalty for sure!

It is no hidden secret that women used to love jewelry. They love it even more today because it is no longer considered to be something that can only be worn on occasions. Go to a party today and you will find women wearing jewelry often stand out from the others. And this does not mean women need to carry 12 ounces of gold with them when they attend such parties.

Jewelry has become an integral portion of every woman’s dressing sense today. Not only does it add to the beauty of a woman, which it always used to do, but keeping in mind the style conscious woman of today, light jewelry like the inspirational charms and sterling silver charms blend beautifully well with today’s demands.

Distinguishing the Types of Abortion

Abortion may be the most distressing event a woman may have to undergo, although certainly, not all women have to undergo the process. The stress on the woman can arise from different factors such as:

1) Incompatibility with religious beliefs, social, and cultural norms. Although abortion has been accepted in some countries, there are still areas that are averse to it, citing that the process must be stopped because it is simply an aberration from the normal and socially approved pattern of doing things. Social pressure may be enormous. Sometimes a woman contemplating abortion may feel the world’s opinion is cast fully against her.

2) Lack of support from partner, parents, and friends. Because abortion is very personal to a woman, she needs emotional support and guidance throughout the whole ordeal. In the absence of support from persons she expects to be supportive during her time of greatest need, the onus of decision making is multiplied greatly. In some cases, a woman may even contemplate suicide, resorting to choices that may cause more harm than good.

When a woman has finally decided on aborting her pregnancy, she may refer to a medical practitioner. In some countries that are traditionally averse to the practice, medical practitioners are explicitly prohibited in performing such an operation. In those countries, most abortions are done underground and in secret places.

The Two Types of Abortion: Providing the Best Option

Abortions are commonly classified into two terms: spontaneous abortion and induced abortion. Their characteristic may be described as follows:

Induced Abortion. An induced abortion means that the pregnancy was intentionally terminated. There are numerous methods of providing abortion to a pregnant woman, the choice of which is sometimes limited by legislation as the law specifically identifies the legal abortion processes in countries where the practice is legal. Induced abortion is classified either as therapeutic or elective. A therapeutic abortion may be conducted for any of the following reasons:

1) To save the life of the pregnant woman especially if the pregnancy involves placing the woman’s health in enormous risk upon delivery.

2)T erminate a pregnancy that was diagnosed to result in a child born with congenital diseases that would be fatal or may cause a significant morbidity in both physical and mental aspects.

3) Although rarely the reason for abortion, the process is also done to selectively reduce the number of fetuses to lessen the risks involved in multiple pregnancies where there is a high possibility of a number of child born with defects. On the other hand, elective abortion is done at the request of the woman for various reasons other than those enumerated above.

Spontaneous abortion is commonly known as miscarriage. It is the expulsion of the fetus from the embryo due to various causes, none of which is deemed intentional. Thedefinition of miscarriages varies among states, depending on the number of weeks of pregnancy prior to its termination.

Women and Oral Contraceptives

Oral contraceptives are one of those things that modern science has brought to help women bear the burden of pregnancy, helping women to better direct their fate by placing greater control of their reproduction in their hands. In some instances, a woman may wish to defer child bearing especially when childbearing years are so close to each other that they are likely to imperil the woman’s health in the long run. As such, the one thing that woman consult are birth control measures.

There are plenty of options relating to birth control, and oral contraceptives are just one of them. More popularly known as pills, oral contraceptives are used by more than half of women who use birth control methods. Moreover, if they are used correctly, some estimates of their efficiency have been variously estimated at around 90 percent.

The Common Forms of Oral Contraceptives

Oral contraceptives for women are available in the following forms:

1) Combined oral contraceptive pill. The combined oral contraceptive pill is more popularly known simply as “the pill.” It is a combination of estrogen and progestin, and it is taken orally to inhibit normal female fertility. This form of contraceptive is one of the oldest around, their use dating back to the 1960s. The pill is used more often by women in Western countries where 12 million women in the U.S. use it while the figure for Britain is 25 percent of the women population in their childbearing years. On the contrary, Eastern countries do not find the pill too attractive: it is virtually unknown in most Asian countries, and even in Japan, the most advanced of Asian nations, only 1 percent of the female population use it.

2) Progestogen-only pills are also known as mini pills. Unlike in the combined oral contraceptive pill, only progestogens are taken while the estrogen is left out of the equation. One advantage of the progesterone pills and the combined oral contraceptive pill is that they seem to work well on individuals even with migraines and seem to have no negative side effects on most women.

3) The next common oral contraceptive is the Mifepristone. It is a synthetic compound used as abortifacient during the first two months of pregnancy and taken in small doses as emergency contraceptive. In its role as an emergency contraceptive, it can prevent ovulation and so eliminate pregnancy if it is taken before ovulation even after sexual intercourse. The drug was made and developed in France in the 1980s and marketed worldwide under different names.

4) Ormeloxifene. . It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator, which is taken one to two times per week. It is a non-hormonal and non-steroidal oral contraceptive. Though the product is touted to be very effective, the time by which it is taken has a huge impact on its effectivity. The pill should be taken twice in a week at the same time because a difference of a few hours is enough to reduce its efficiency.

Oral contraceptives are now made even more popular because of efforts to help women get more protection during pregnancy. However, the major consideration in choosing which oral contraceptive to use is the health of the woman. No reason is reason enough to imperil a woman’s health.

Getting a Sexy Lower Back Tattoo

A part of the body that is uniquely feminine the lower back makes for an ideal tattoo spot for women. Muscular and toned, the lower back counts as one of the most sexy and enticing areas on the female body which can be greatly enhanced and made even more sexy and exotic with the addition of a carefully chosen tattoo. It is no wonder that the lower back ranks as one of the most popular tattoo areas on a woman.

Due to the expanse of skin available, the lower back provides a large canvas for the tattoo artist to try more elaborate designs compared to the dainty tattoos normally found on the ankle, wrists or shoulder. Popular designs for women include nature inspired symbols such as the stars, the moon and the sun as well as Zodiac signs. Lower back tattoos can be as big and fancy as the individual wants them to be; from sprawling images of fire, swirling designs, barbed wire to a band's logo that is spread horizontally or vertically across the back.

It is a good idea to maintain a sense of proportion when getting a tattoo on the lower back; the dimensions of the tattoo should be relative to the size of the back. A tiny little butterfly tattoo that looks adorable on paper will seem lost and out of place when inked in vast expanse the lower back. Alternatively, a too-large and excessively ornate tattoo on the lower back usually ends up being distracting and messy rather than looking sexy and alluring. Anyone looking to get a lower back tattoo should consult the tattoo artist on what ideal size will look best on them – it should be remembered that each woman is different and one-size-fits-all tattoo designs will rarely work. A good lower back tattoo should accentuate the back and not overwhelm it.

In the case of a butterfly tattoo on the lower back, the butterfly itself can be enlarged or it can be enhanced with the addition of patterns around it. These patterns can feature barbed wire, creeping vines, swirling lines, flames or anything else that appeals to the woman getting the tattoo.

In addition to size, some thought must be given to the appearance of the lower back tattoo will look when the woman is partially clothed. Two piece bathing suits have a way of ruining the effect of many ill-conceived lower back tattoos. A ladybug tattoo that would otherwise look fine on a woman's back looks like an insect is crawling out of the pants when she is dressed in a two piece bikini at the beach. Fans of insect or animal tattoos on the lower back should always be mindful of how their tattoo will appear in various states of dress and undress.

Sex During Pregnancy

When a pregnant woman is dealing with nausea, vomiting and fatigue, morning sickness, and weight gain, it seems that the last thing that she would think about is sex. There are many women who are active when they are pregnant. But they think that engaging in a sexual activity might be bad for the baby’s health. Is it really safe to have sex when you are pregnant?

Whether this would bring good news or not, having sex during pregnancy is safe for women who have uncomplicated and low-risk pregnancies.

Normal Pregnancy Allows for Sexual Activity

If you are not sure that you are fit for such an activity, consult a doctor or a midwife. The sexual desires of a woman tend to fluctuate when she is pregnant, but the activity can become awkward and uncomfortable since the body shape of a woman changes considerably.

Always remember that staying intimate doesn’t meant hat you have to engage in sex. Closeness and pleasure can be provided by kissing, touching, cuddling, and manual stimulation. These activities are low risk, and they could not add up to the problems of your pregnancy..

You just have to make sure that your pregnancy is healthy and fit.
